Hey Linda,
Don't worry about not writing back - I understand. I'm sure you've been busy too. This was a pretty hectic week for me. He must've called the same day mine did. I hope they get to call tomorrow - that would be nice. I understand about Austin being expensive. My cousin lives in Bastrop and wanted to move closer in because of the commute but it was just too expensive. If you're in SW Austin and we're in far North San Antonio, we're probably not that far apart, lol. I hope you find somewhere to move that you like. We moved into this house a year ago this past Valentine's day. We rented up here the first year and a half we were here. I like the area but hate the traffic ;) I hope all is well with you and that you have a Happy Mother's Day!

Hi Linda, wow - moving! That's enough to keep you busy. Are you staying in the same area? We live in the far North end of SA so it's only about 40-45 minutes to Austin. I'm hoping to get up there this summer. I have a friend who lives and teaches in the Leander area and I haven't seen her in over a year. She got married in December so I'd like to see her. I'm sure your son will be able to call after PIR. Does he have a calling card? I hope the minutes are accurate on the card I gave my son. I know some of those calling cards use more minutes at a time than they are supposed to. He got to call one time weekend before last. I was on my way back from the Battle of Flowers parade when he called. It was nice to hear his voice! How about you?

Yes, mine is a grad and go as well. He said he would have 8-9 hours before he had to go to the airport so we are planning to go anyway. My husband didn't want to at first but I told him I was planning to go anyway. lol - I really miss my boy! If we are able to take him to the airport, we probably will. We're planning to spend a few days in Chicago after and then fly back Sunday. I'm trying not to get sick right now so I don't have to take any time off before then. I only have enough days left in this year for the trip and one other half day I have to take earlier that week for my daughter's doctor appointment.

He said he's doing ok. He told me that nighttime is the hardest because that's when it's quiet enough to think. :( I just wanted to tell you, I think your son is awesome! He was very polite and enjoyable to talk to. He also let my son use his cell phone when they arrived in Chicago to let me know they got there safely. My son's phone went dead when they were at MEPS. So thank you! and what a great young man you have there!
