my bf is getting scared because we have only been together a month today and he is scared what the future is going to be like with the navy bc most men cheat he says while they are and and he Don't want to. And he just just saying he don't want to hurt me i don't know what to do i think i can handle this but i am not so sure if he thinks he can please give me some advise any i am so scared i don't wanna lose him with out giving a a chance things was going good before he is getting ready to sign up and everything
Communication was the main factor. When he left for boot camp, I wrote him everyday to show him that even though we were apart and we’re only talking on the phone once every few weeks, I wanted him to feel like he was still an important part of my day. Thankfully he had the opportunity to write me back before he went to bed every evening so I was able to feel equally as important to him. Once he got out of bootcamp and was able to communicate freely, we FaceTimed and spoke on the phone as much as possible. So when we were finally together again, it felt like no time had passed (since we were in constant communication). And the rest is history lol.
Thank you ! I showed him your first comment and he said he felt better about it now thank you soo much!!!
You’re welcome!!! I’m glad I could help!!! :)
My husband is currently at RTC. & this was definitely a big wide eye opener for us both. Not all guys cheat either by the way, not when they truly have someone they are in love with and care for. I believe the guys who do just don’t have the same strength and right mindset to really appreciate somebody who cares about them compared to other men, I guess it depends on who you are and what your current and past relationships have been like. Idk really, I’ve been lucky enough to not have to find that out, I guess I am a lucky one haha and I’m sure if you guys work at your relationship you will be too. We’ve been together nearly 7 and a half years straight and have been married since this past April. Yes, “high school sweethearts” if you must give it a name haha, He enlisted in May. We have been together everyday never been apart for long periods of time, etc. we have a two year old daughter (so imagine that stress too) but this has really made us both appreciate our relationship more, we’re more grateful for it, that we can be this strong and are growing stronger during this really hard time. We pray more now during this time for each other, he’s made friends with some guys who actually do that with him too, he told me in a letter. It’s heped. He is doing hard work, good work and he’s doing it for our family so I always remember that as well. Being away from someone who was a constant part of my life, someone I shared everything with all of the time, who was always right there when I needed him, it’s tough, it really is. None of this is was unique to us. As everyone says and knows, a military relationship is hard, we expected this. Part of being an adult too. we are still new to the military part of it but i also know it’s not impossible to do, no matter how long you have been together either, if you REALLY love each other, it’s more than possible. and how I know will be ok? it’s in the missing him that I remember the passion and romance of those fresh-faced and starry-eyed days. It is in the missing him that I become acutely aware again of how much I need him and he feels exactly the same way. This is definitely going to make us stronger and I have no worry or doubts in that. Stay positive and I’m sure you both will appreciate this and appreciate each other too more than you already probably do. If you ever need anything. Just message me girl.
