Kathleen, My son started A school Nov, 2 and graduates already tomorrow. He did say they had to really push to get done before Thanksgiving. They had missed 2 days of classes because of Ida and then had Veterans Day also.

AG - thanks for your information. I think my son is on hold right now, too. He just arrived in Pensacola last Wednesday. I'm pretty sure he said his training is going to start after Christmas - does that make sense? And I think he said it was only for 4 weeks. He did say he would be able to get home for Christmas. I'm still waiting to hear from him. Just fedexed a package out to him on Mon with his cell, laptop, etc. I hope he gets it!

Florence, my son is AO and he didn't say anything about it to me today. He is coming home for Thanksgiving and he would of told me if it was the case.

Wow Kathleen-sounds like your son got done fast. My so'sn A-school is 16 weeks I think. He is AE. I think that is after he classes up too and I have no idea how long that will take.

Kathleen, my son graduates tomorrow from AD school and then home for 2 weeks. He has been in Pensacola since 9/18. He was on hold for about 6 weeks before AD classes started.

Florence - my son is AO. Sure hope he's not involved!!!! His initials are JC and is housed at Fox Trot.

Barb....and all Moms.......If your sailor has an aviation rate AM AO AB AD AE AT and so on......they will be at Pensacola NAS IT's & CT's train at Corry Station.
Aircrew train at Pensacola, as do PR's and the rescue swimmers.

Kathleen....there is not a guide. But there is a link I have posted at the top that tells a lot about Pensacola Base. But it ts about the Base in general not just the school part of it. So the rest of the info you will have to rely on your sailor for answers, or come here.

Barb...I think that AT's (Aviation Electronics Techs) are on the NAS Pensacola Base...we were all confused once!! You will get the hang of...just about the time he is due to PCS somewhere else!!! hahahaha Robin
