Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Time to move on to Nuke Moms.  Its been a wonderful experience.  Thanks to all the Mom's that have provided useful information and much support.  Thank goodness for this website.  Its a Godsend!

Peeps - I'm reading all these post from new Navy Moms and their SR's who just arrived at RTC and I'm chuckling to myself and thinking "that used to be me, those are my words only a few weeks ago - now Imma VETERAN.....whoo hooo!!! I am proud to say I did not get any work done at my job because all I talked about was my Sailor, the Navy and that Ceremony OMG. Everyone was happy to here my 2 hours discussions and relaxed I am. I told them not for long because we have a new adventure and it's called Pensacola A school...Lawd here we go again was the look I got but I don't care because I LuvMyBlues.....much Love and Blessings to All

Well this weekend's PIR was awesome. So glad to have found you all here on Navy4Mom. Really can't thank everyone enough for the help, information and support throughout the book camp experience. But now it is time to move on to the next step, which means joining some other groups too. Good luck to you all on your Navy Family Journey, best wishes to all your new sailors, and see you out there on the other support groups!
