My son is Ship 12 Div 039 PIR 1/14, I saw you are from Colonia NJ do you know where that is as compared to Toms River or the Jersey Shore?  We live in Toms River.

I wrote to the letter on the form letter.
Name
Ship # Div #
Recruit Training Command
3515 Sailor Drive
Great Lakes, IL 60088-3515

is that address I got to mail to him. His mother sent out a letter which he said he received. Thankfully she told him I've been writing everyday so he does know I am writing but said he has not received any letters from me yet. Don't worry though..that is very normal. By now I'm sure they have most of their mail we've sent!

Congrats on booking at the Ramada! I'm there also!

Is there anyone else he could have sent it to? I mean if the recruiter told you he was in this division then you definitely are going to be at PIR 1/14. Let me know when you find out! Best of luck to you!=] 53 days

Hi ABmom, I know telling you to stop worrying is like telling you to stop breathing but it is so true that no news is good news. Everyone is different and he might be just fine. Just keep those letters coming because it does mean so much to our recruits. Having flat feet is not a disability and if he is able to do what he needs to do in boot camp he will be ok. You should be hearing from him soon and hopefully you will have one less thing to worry about. Hugs. Kathy

That's really strange. I would imagine that the division got to send out their form letters the same day =/.. Where abouts to you live? I'm in NY and got mine Tuesday. Is there anyone else he would have sent it to? Also, have you confirmed the address again with the recruiter? Maybe he had to go through extra processing? not sure. Either way we know he is doing just fine. If anything terrible happened they would have him notify you the day it happens. I know it's a LOT tougher than it sounds but hang in there stay strong. We all miss our recruits but they are safe and on their journey to become US Navy Sailors! and yes.. 54 days

I got the form letter which has room for a few lines on the bottom of the last page. It was still nice to even see his handwriting but made me miss him a lot more. I will send the hotel information in a message and will also make a couple suggestions on the traveling to and from PIR.
