Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
I am 25 and have been a navy wife since july 27, 2009. My sailor and I met when I was 14 and he was 15. We were each others high school crushes but never told one another. When I was 17 he came back to visit from boot camp and we had our first date and kiss...but he then moved to VA. 7 years later on april 13, 2009 I found him on facebook. We began emailing, then talking on the phone and soon we started flying back and forth between Ca and Va. We got married after 3 months (only 10 actual days together.

Just a suggestion. Change your Privacy settings to either Members or Just My Friends--anyone with web access can visit this page as you have it now; after the change, only members or Friends can see what is here. (Click on Settings in the upper right and then Privacy in the upper left of the next page.) Blessings to you and yours.

You are inviting to join the SF Bay Area Navy Families group. Our emphasis will be from the Bay to and including Alameda, Contra Costa & Sonoma Counties. We have a number of families in the East Bay. Come visit when you get a chance. Click on “+ Join SF Bay Area … “ to join. I am hoping that with a smaller geographical base, topics of interest will be more relevant and everyone will feel more at home. I am the creator and admin of the group. Best wishes to your sailor or sailor to be. BunkerBee
