OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Today my baby brother graduated.

Like I said on my first post, i wasnt able to make it. That defiantly doesnt change how happy and proud i am of him. I cant wait to hear his voice when he gets to gets together with my parents.

im anxious to finally hear that voice that i havent heard in two months.

These past 6 months have been so bittersweet.

Lets start on the day he told me he was joining the Navy. Ive been supportive since day one. I wanted to be the one person…

A week from today my brother will be graduating. Unfortunately I will be watching from the stream bright and early at 6 am pacific. I know he's excited and looking forward for the ceremony. I'm making him his favorite snacks and one of the things he's been craving since he left for bootcamp, chocolate covered pretzels.

Since you have a Sailor, you can change "Thinking about joining" above to "Enlisted."

Make changes 3 and 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.
