Divisions 229 and 230 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.

By counting 9 Fridays, PIR will most likely be 07/28/2017 for those who shipped on 05/30/2017. It could be 07/21/2107 for some if they are in a Push Division and were placed in one of the last divisions from the week before. It is possible for some who arrive on the same date to have PIR a week apart. Wait on The Form Letter to know the PIR date for sure. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

Hi Jojo...I was pretty surprised to get both the box and the letter so soon.  And even more surprised to see the PIR date of 7/21.  Even his recruiter had assumed it would be the 28th.  He's in DIV 226, which from the looks of it is the last group to make it into the 7/21 date.  Does your son's recruiter have any info for you?

Thanks so much for all of your info and links. It's a bit overwhelming but am learning so much. My son just got married last month and left for boot camp on the 30th of May. we are anxiously awaiting to hear when graduation day is.

JpeyS....a, I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your full name; you also need to change the URL to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile)  (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.)

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

You may want to check out Nuke A School FAQ. You may want to check out https://www.facebook.com/Naval-Support-Activity-Charleston-SC-1549626935313525/.

The Rating Information Card for NF can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/nukepower.pdf. (If you get the security warning, it is safe to go there.)

Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. Plan to leave late Saturday or on Sunday. See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Your Sailor may have Prototype in Ballston Spa, NY; if so, join Moms/Dads/Families with Nukes in Ballston Spa, NY at that time. Some stay in Charleston.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.
