MamaB, that is to cool! What a small Navy world...lol. It's funny....one day they say push it, push it...next day...not so much...oh well...your boy has an edge being a swimmer...K was xcountry runner all thru HS...not much swim...so really pushed it, as well as P90x for 6 months before BC...really bulked up her upper body, which during RSS, the instructors used to ride her butt because she was a much stronger upper body swimmer than a lower body...made her swim without her arms quite a few laps...and she still did well...it is SUCH a mental game...I think that's what got her at the end...she missed one detail in her final multi(scenario) that the SR Chief wouldn't allow to repeat...but she DID get a dry Aircrew contract instead of going undesignated which is very lucky...am very proud of her...she is a good resource if your son has any questions...I know she is always willing to help..

I got the black backpack at Dicks Sporting Goods.  It was a Jansport black backpack and I just ripped the labels off b/c it can not have any labels or it.  My hubby got a 5.0 too!  They did a great job.  I am very proud of them both!

Yeah I think we are flying out at 2 I think on thurs.  The girls are not going b/c of school.  I think they were upset but they understood.  Did you get your son a black backpack?  That is the only thing that they can have their electronics in.  It has to be black.

Hahaha!  Yeah it would be hard to spot everyone out with bald heads lol!  I know the boys are ready to be finished with boot camp!  They have battle stations sunday night so hopefully monday we will get the official "I'm a Sailor" call!  Yes, my mother in law does have N4M account but I don't think she gets on here a lot.  We are flying into Chicago Ohare on Thursday and leaving Saturday.  We are staying at the Quality Inn I believe.

Hey there, Mama B.  Don't worry at all about the name thing.  We've just been on here together awhile and heard about it..alot!  This time next week we'll all be on our way (or soon to be) Do you know all about the scarves, etc.  All of the 5/6 girlfriends/wives/moms are wearing scarves to match our division.  809 is going to be wearing baby blue.  Some of the gals aren't into scarves per se, so will put them on purses, etc.  We just want to be able to recognize each other..  Mine is light blue with a bit of a taupey plaid...so, don't worry if its not perfect.  At least we didn't have to find blue camo!  lol.  Glad you're here.

It is okay! I just asked you to PLEASE delete it because I was scared one of the RDCs would have seen it. (They check up on this site to get our guys in trouble...so i've heard!) But that is really awesome that your son and my soon-to-be fiance are bunk mates and good friends! I can't wait to meet all of you next weekend! Your husband has told me some funny stories that your son has told him...especially the ones about my SR getting harassed for the amount of letters I send..and that all the boys know ME BY NAME..(how embarressing lol). I cannot believe this whole experience is almost over! I am sending out my last LONG letter today..it's bittersweet!
