Hi, thanks for the friend invite! My son is in bootcamp right now. He is supposed to have his PIR on September 24th. I just purchased plane tickets from CA to IL to attend. I hate not hearing from him and talking to him every day! He is right on track so far, I'm just hoping it stays that way. :) So is Jessie in 'A' school right now? That is where my son said he goes right after bootcamp, but I'm not even sure what that means exactly.

Thanls for your friendship. My son will not go to bootcamp until 11/16/2010 so his frustration lies heavy on my heart. I read, read, read to get ideas to make his wait less frustrating. Again thanks.

Hi. Just left St Augustine from a great visit last week! We ate at the Columbia Restaurant (what a treat!) We did some site-seeing again after a few years away, and had another day planned when our son called and said he had a day off at King's Bay, GA, but could not travel. So, we checked out and headed north. Great visit with our son, his roomie, and our daughter in law who came over from Charleston for a few days.
Is your son in the Navy, or is he a DEPPER? You state he joined Dec. 2010, so didn't know if that were a typo.
Our son has been in for two years already, but it has all been stateside up until now. He's in a submarine.
