OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I'm hoping for a phone call tonight also, but I think it's getting late. And I don't know how often they allow them to call. I wish they could at least let us know how things are going. I keep writing,I want her to know we still are lifting them up in prayer and that they have this. But not getting any responses back is frustrating. I'll keep you in prayer and please do the same for me. Thanks

Hi Stacy, No I do not know when their group go through battlestation. I'm hoping to get a letter tomorrow or Friday giving me some insight. Yes, I wrote Candice and told her to let Voila know we are praying for her. I'm pretty excited about this basic training coming to an end. But I told Candice I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all this writing material. Lol, it's been pretty interesting writing back and forth. At their ages it was hard to get her to communicate with the cell phone the way we would have liked. So it's been a pleasure getting feedback on everything that's going on with her. Without asking or fussing at her about not telling me. Lol

Thank you. My daughter is in navy boot camp and is scheduled to graduate October.16. I know she was concerned about passing her pft run. I'm praying she passed it already waiting on a letter to confirm. I've gained so much knowledge by reading the post here. Thank you again. Any one ship 11 352?
