About me:
I am 51 and my nest is very empty. I have 4 children, 1 grandson, and a wonderful husband. I home schooled, raised goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and any other animal that was brought home when we were not looking. I am a nurse and returned to work when Aaron reached high school age and started public school. Now my husband and I travel quite a bit and also work a lot. We love North Idaho where we live, Alaska and the Oregon Coast. There are still many places to see around the world.
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Thinking about joining
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
No matter how much I worry, no matter how much I cry, I can't change the direction the wind blows. All I can do is pray.
Philippians 4:6 says "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

A true sailor fights not because he hates what is in front of him BUT because he loves what is behind him

It's my pleasure to add him Suzanne and I loved meeting you. We got some great results with the jerky drive. Lots of jerky made and our friend is still making some! Had some dehydrated apples added too and that gave me the idea to have people dehydrated fruits next year too!

Suzanne - thanks for the warm welcome. This is definitely going to be challenge for me having Aaron half way around the world since he barely left our hometown before he went to boot camp. Aaron is an AO. Scary stuff !!

Greetings from the North. I talked to my son, he didn't know your son, but he was going to try and track him down. Hopefully they are able to connect. I think it's good when they have contact with someone they have something in common with.

Hey Suzanne, I'm glad to be apart of this site, it's been great! Michael has been in for 6 years, and is a ET. They just flew him off the G-dub Oct. 20th, and is currently in Wash. St. awaiting release. He's recently married a wonderful young lady who does not want to make her home in Japan, so he decided not to reenlist. His goal was to be in aviation when he enlisted, however, he had scored so high on a test they talked him into the nuclear field and I believe he may have choosen to stay in longer if he had choosen a different field. He is now looking forward to collage and moving forward to the next chapter in his life. Hope to talk to you again soon. Kathy
