For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I've read that assuming my Recruit does in fact graduate, that a video of PIR and a yearbook are available for purchase by her parents . I'm my Recruits Godfather and I would also love to purchase a video of PIR and a yearbook. Can and if so, how do I order these items? What about an official Graduation picture, is one taken by the Navy at Great Lakes, and if so once again, can I as my Recruits Godfather purchase the picture? I…

My goddaughter is reporting to boot on August 14, 2013 and she wants to be an ET in the NP. I’m trying by looking at info on this site and determine what her flow will be from RTC to her first ship assignment. I’m going to list the thing that I believe she will have to know in no particular order and I would appreciate your thoughts on which items to memorize first to last (just list out by the associated number). My goddaughter is reporting to boot on August 14, 2013. I know from reading the blog that the Form Letter will be mail and should be received by her parents 7 to 10 days after arrival at boot. If I sent with her a self addressed with postage on it postcard, with my address, (I’m her godfather) would she be able to mail this to me with the info needed (ship#, div#, street name and last 4 digits of the zip code) as a quicker way of being able to send her letters? I see you've joined 2 Nuke groups; check out Nuke A School FAQ. The Rating Information Card for NF can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/nukepower.pdf. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.
