this is my first association with the Navy when my daughter enlisted. I have read alot of information online and have learned that this is a great opportunity for young adults and there future.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I'm sorry I havent responded but have been very busy at work and trying to survive the day to day routine.  My daughter just left for bootcamp on Aug 18th and cant stop thinking about her everyday.  What is she doing right now?  Did she get enough sleep?  Is she emotionally ok?   I'm not nervous for her or scared for her, I just pray that she is emotionally ok.  I no that she is physically strong and emotionally strong however this is a life changing event in her life and I want to make sure that she is safe is every way.  I guess I am a typical mom worrying about there child.

Can anyone tell me this early in the game only 2 days into bootcamp when I will find out about graduation, hotel arrangments and the required things needed for attending the graduation.  Her recruiters were great however that information was never really discussed except that it would be sent to us.

Thanks for everyones support

Debbie

My daughter just left for bootcamp on Aug 18th, 2015.  So proud of her.  I cant stop thinking about what she is doing every minute of the day.  Is she OK?  My biggest fear are her emotions.  She is physicall strong and emotionally strong however this is life changing event and I worry about her.  I just want to make sure that she is OK?

Any advise for mommies that worry about there little girl?  LOL

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in August, to connect with others with loved ones who arrived the same day and may have PIR together.

I also invite you to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and PIR Reference Information. Once you know your recruit’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

Hi, when did or will your future Sailor ship to the RTC? If you know the ship date, go to the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC. At the bottom are links for each of the months, join the one for the month that your future Sailor ships.

I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there.

You may want to check out Mom's of Daughters 2, Mom’s of Navy Daughters, and Women in the Navy.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.
