Yes she did. When she had to start weekly meetings with her recruiter she had to either cut it or wear it up. She has very thick hair (pain in the butt to put in a bun!) so she cut it then. She had a trim before she left so hopefully won't need to visit the base barbers!

Hi Back! Beautiful pics! I can't wait to see how they will have changed after this! Did Emily cut her hair before leaving? That was one of the hard things for me to see, but I'm getting used to the short style and actually kind of like it.

My son also went to the recruiters office with a friend.  My son tested higher so they pushed him through the process.  My son is a smart boy too but he was really sick of going to school & community college.  What I think he failed to realize is that there is more school (classroom) to come in bootcamp.  Oh my lol.   That is too bad that your daughter and her friend did not get to go at the same time.  Perhaps one cannot believe everything a recruiter says?  I think the recruiters make a request and sometimes they are not honored by the higher ups.  When your daughters graduates boot camp are you going to Great Lakes?

Hi Laura, my son too has been given the tentative date to leave of July 17 or 18th.  Maybe we can be of support to one another.  My son is 18 and he saw a recruiter when he was old enough to not need my permission.
