Profile Information

A little about me:
I received two years of education at Ball State University in IN. I joined a sorority, and had a 3.2 GPA. I didn't feel satisfied with what I was doing, and didn't want to keep putting my mother in debt. She has my brother and little sister to get through college. So after doing much research I decided to enlisted into the Navy. I enlisted into the Navy on 5/5/2011, and leave for RTC on 9/6/2011. I am a Hospital Corpsman. I'm here looking more info about what I can expect in RTC. I'm a planner, and highly dislike going into anything without some sort of insight. This website has so much information that has already truly helped me understand what I will be going through for at least the next 5 years of my life. I would love to give some of my personal experiences to help give some insight about some of the things your Sailor is going going through. I can't wait to become a Sailor myself.
I am here to support my
Self
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Waiting to leave for Boot Camp
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
As of now, the only thing is from my recruiter and it was the military motto "Hurry up and wait".

Hi there!  Saw your question about boot camp and hair......I have sons so I don't know how all that works BUTTT you might want to join the group of Moms that have daughters.  They most likely will have a lot of advice for you being that they've been through this....most of them are through with Boot Camp.  Good luck to you!
