What can I take on base

Hello everyone, I have a couple questions first my son that graduates on May 7. I have a watch as a graduation gift for him. Can I take that with me to the graduation on base or do I need to leave it in the hotel and give it to him later. It also says small purses and small camera bags are allowed. Does anyone have any idea of how small or how big it can be. And is a small tripod allowed?

Sherrilynn - the information for the meet in greet is also on the main BC Mom group page. I posted a message earlier today. Be sure to open up the group page into desktop mode if you are signing in on a mobile device. There is a lot of information that is easily visible when logged in on a computer, but much more difficult to find, I think on a phone.

The Meet n Greet is a good way to get some other information about PIR day and to meet other people. Sarge requests that you make a reservation at least by the Monday before. There is no cost, but when we were there about 9 years ago, they did charge for drinks and they had door prizes that you could buy raffle tickets for. All to help support the meal. They have been serving the Navy family for many years in the GL area. My best advice is to get to PIR early. Sit in the lower section at the top if possible, because you will be able to get to your sailor sooner than if you are in the upper part of the bleachers.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, be willing to be flexible. Our afternoon was nothing like I had read about, and now I think you all may have an extra day so pay attention to what your son tells you. My son flew out very early the next morning and went to school in Goose Creek.
