Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." Whatis your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Thank you, yes, I am doing well.  I'm so happy that you have been in touch with Stephanie.  It makes life so much better just hearing from our girls.  Kaylina says everyone she has met is very nice.  I also am happy that our girls are together, and it seems like the group they are in is very supportive and strong.  I pray that it stays that way.  God Bless Lisa

Hi Szycrmchezy i still haven't gotten a call from Kayla but Shortysmama send me a message that our daughters know each other I mention your daughters name to Kayla on last letter I am hoping they know each too. That bring so much joy to my heart knowing all our daughters know each other and they are there to support each other through BC. I will continue to pray for all our kids that god will to guide them through BC. God bless julie

Hi Szycrmchezy I also received a letter from Kayla on Friday I was very happy to know that she is doing good and adjusting to BC. She said all the girls in her division are like sisters to each other, which i was happy to hear. I havent gotten a call yet. Do you know if everyone on Division 396 makes calls the same day, Cuz if so then I missed it but my phone doesnt show that i missed a call. Julie

My daughter was also very anxious to me be leaving to start her Navy career.  She is my middle kid and has always been a go getter type of person.  I'm so glad to hear that your kids are doing well.  Yes, praying for our girls.  I'm sure they will do great things.

Hi Szycrmchezy, My name is Julie and my daughter Kayla left for Boot Camp on August 20, 2013 and she is also in Ship 11, Division 396. I also received her box on Tuesday and her form letter on Thursday, I was so happy but at the same time emotional. I am so glad to know other moms who has a son/daughter in the same Ship and Division as my daughter. If you don't mind me asking.. what is your daughter's name? I like to know cuz when I write to kayla I always tell her that I have been communicating with some of her recuite moms.. Thx and God Bless Julie
