OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

These people might not even be from the US... spammers sometimes aren't even people. Or they're foolish, desperate people who fell for a "work at home" scam, placing web ads anywhere they can register.

I reported that user, the posts are gone.  Anyone else can do it too, just scroll down to "report an issue" at the bottom of the page and give the admin the spam user name.

How in the world are they getting into this website,, are they pretenders?  Hey I got a job for you losers,, my dog keeps leaving a mess in my backyard,,,bring your shovel!

They could be legit people with sailors/recruits but are being paid to promote something. Or they got a Navy For Moms account just to post. The N4M admin verifies the email address but can't investigate the person. The N4M admin doesn't check this every day. No big deal, we just have to continue to "bump" this discussion by "reposting" - I hate these idiots.

Admin does take care of this, but may not be online 24/7.  That's why we need to report the spam when we see it happen.
