Happy Bday to your son, like Buggy says stay strong you will conquer the feeling of not been able to see him my advice just keep busy and think that soon at PIR youll be able to make up on the hugs and Bday kisses. My sons bday was during ASchool so I was able to talk to him and it was also right after Thanksgiving 2010 and eventhought I was able to talk to him it was still tough. I know how you are feeling I couldnt sleep at all but what I did do for my own sanity was on Thanksgiving  with the family we still sang Happy Bday to him as we cut his special Bday Cake that my fiancee bought just for my son it had an American Flag and his first Navy foto in Uniform in the middle,we took lots of fotos of all of Us with his cake and  I video it with my cell just a little and wished him a Happy Bday and then send it to him.He Loved it and ofcourse I cried but it was my way to somehow still be connected with him he is my only child. This worked for Me I hope you can find something very special to still have him close to you on his Bday and remember Stay Navy Strong at least even if its a little bit God Bless
