My husband left for basic at the end of may, it was the hardest thing i have ever had to endure. i cried for 3 days straight and didn't want to leave the house. I was introduced to an amazing support group on facebook who then told me about N4M. i am truly blessed to have has all of this support. i feel like my family has multiplied by a billion!!! i got the "im here" call the night he got to Great Lakes. that following monday i got my "boy in a box" and i broke down. i still sleep with his shirt (unfortunately its starting to loose his smell ) i then received my DEERS and ID form letter. thats when i officially became a military wife :) yeay! i got my first letter, his PIR form, and a 33 minute phone call within a week. it was the answer to my prayers!! he is doing great and he loves it there. he says the only bad part is that i am not there. he has had a cold since he got there. he passed all of his tests perfectly and is now ranked as an E-2 . I am one proud wife!! unfortunately there a girls in his division who always fight so they are getting ITE every day. i hope they can pull it together. but he doesn't mind it b/c he loves to push himself. he has achieved so much !

as far as being a navy wife or a military wife in general, its not easy. and we were told it was going to be hard. but even with a warning, it couldn't prepare you for what would happen!! my husband is not just married to me he is married to the navy. only true love and a pure friendship can survive being a military wife!! TRUST is the biggest thing , without trust there is no marriage! so speaking from experience, trust your husband. love him with all of your heart. don't leave him b/c you are lonely . you know what you signed up for, and he needs you more than anything. everything will work out. the day you reunite with your husband will be the best day of your life :)

God Bless

your son will find any amazing wife someday :) its not easy but it is totally worth it. what helps me as much is thinking of that day when i get to see my husband again. I heard it like falling in love all over again :) just make sure you are there to support her when that time comes. family support is #1 ! i wasn't really close with his family before he left, but they are constantly calling me and texting me. it helps so much. yes you are right all marriages need that :)  but yes when we are separated by many miles some many things run through your head (as i like to say the enemy's talking )  but you have to keep reminding yourself of who your husband really is. If we didn't have God in our relationship idk where we would be. i know this would bee 1000X harder.  I sure hope the days goes by fast also. i can not wait. how is your son doing? thank you so much :)
