OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Event Description

Navy Week is coming to Phoenix from March 4th through the 14th!

For those of you that are not sure what Navy Weeks are, they consists of a series of events designed to tell the Navy story: what the Navy does, why it’s important, and what opportunities exist in today’s Navy.

The Phoenix Navy Week events include:
* Speaking engagements and public appearances by Rear Admiral Leendert R. “Len” Hering, Sr., Commander, Navy Region Southwest and Rear Admiral Patricia Wolfe, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Supply and Ordnance, Commander Pacific Fleet, as well as Commander, Logistics Task Force Pacific and Commander, Naval Logistics Forces Korea.

* A visit by the star of ABC’s Hit show “The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman,” Lieutenant Andy Baldwin, a Navy Undersea Medical Officer.

* Performances by Navy Fleet Forces Band “Destroyers” at various locations including area High Schools and Spring Training games at various locations around the valley.

* The Navy’s jump team “Leap Frogs” will be jumping into various high schools and Spring Training games.

Further times/details will be updated as I receive them.

While N4M is not sponsoring event, if you are interested in getting involved, PM me and I can put you in touch with the right person at the Navy!
