hi! my b/f is on the same ship as your husband. i haven't heard from yet either. i hoping any day i'll get a phone call or a letter. i can't wait for April 9 either!!! It'll be an exciting weekend!!!!
My son Ethan is same. He must be going to GC with Jeremy. We might know each other well in time huh? I did get a letter this last week. He says they don't get much time to eat and it's not very good anyway. (He expected as much though). Sounds like they are doing ok but have had to do some IT . Where are you? I'm in Montana :-) Miri
Hi...I got a letter from Jeremy today...I'm so excited!!!!!!! He said that he is drinking more water than ever before and he eats mostly apples, like 3 to 5 a day. I guess everyone is sick, or at least when he wrote the letter. But, he said that it's not that bad. I'm in New York, well upstate New York. It's going by really fast. I'm really looking forward to April 9th.
Finally got a letter today! Was so glad! He doesn't like it but is trying to make the most of it! Just glad to know he is at least ok to write a letter!
My Son Ethan will be reporting to Goosecreek and is DIV146. Did you get your call? Ethan's father received a call from him this last weekend. Hope all is well with you. We are anxious to meet other Navy families. See you there!
I got my first letter from Troy!!! He said he's doing well, it's not that bad. He's glad he joined and he's looking forward to phone privileges!!
Hi Moms,

I just got home from work and was so thrilled to see a letter from my son. Again, his handwriting is incredible!! His words were undermined with his humor. Said his division has been doing alot of "extra" PT time, due to 100% of them not being able to follow the rules. One person out of synch they all are penalized in order to enforce team work. He also said they told them "you'll either be a strong sailor or a smart sailor", you don't want to be a strong sailor trust me:) I can't wait until April 9th, I'm so happy to see his words in writing as I know he's doing o.k.. Now the anticipation of getting a phone call.......TJs mom
Hi All,

Received our first call from our son this afternoon, I was at work so I missed the call.:( My husband spoke with him and said he sounds great and that he's doing good. He said "it's not easy, but it's getting better." He was selected for a position away from his division for Greeting and Security??? My husband said he was so surprised by the call that he couldn't soak the conversation all in. Has anyone every heard of this position? Did anyone else get a call today from their recruit on Ship 3 Division 146? He won't know about grad and go for maybe 2 weeks, and he should be allowed make another call in 2 weeks too. TJs Mom
Hi All,

I received the best surprise this morning as I was shopping in Costco, my son called and I totally lost it in the middle of the store.I told everyone staring at me it's my son calling from bootcamp !!! He sounds so awesome and says his division is doing well, it just took some time for all of them to come together. The division started with 88 and it's now down to 79, some recruits were sent home for varied reasons throughout RTC he wasn't specific. Troy's mom, he said to tell you he received a promotion and is now a section leader. Even though their given the extra responsibilities for achieving goals, they are still responsible for the time away from their division. So they miss out on some mandatory training. He miss addressed a Capt for a Leutenant and won't be doing that again any time soon:) I told him to spread the word about Navyformoms.com to the other recruits in the division as well. Have a great weekend everyone, I'm flying on cloud 9 since this morning. TJs mom
That's wonderful you got to talk to him! My son called but I was at work so i got a voice mail. At least I got to hear his voice! Maybe next time I will be able to talk.
