So, has anyone else heard if their recruits are "grad-n-go"? Usually if one is, the whole division is. That means they will only have liberty on Friday afternoon. . .
When I mentioned grad-n-go to my daughter she had no idea what I was talking about. She did say though that she was told initially that she was going to leave for airport very early sat am and only have friday with us. I know her A school is in San Diego but dont know if that matters. I wish I knew. Her brothers are flying in from Alaska and Florida to see her. with them all being so far apart it would be nice to be able to spend a couple days with them all.
hello all. I got a letter today from my daughter. She sounds tired. She said that they were told that their whole division is going to be grad n go but she did not have her official orders yet and that is all she knew. she said their battlestations day was going to be 6-5 and they were on day 3-1. she said she actually enjoys PT.............. That is amazing to me.
Hey Suesmom- From what I understand from my recruit, our daughters divisions are brother/sister divisions so I think that means they will be doing battlestations on the same day - She told me 6-5 also and when I count out the days with not counting Monday for Columbus Day - I get that they will do battlestations on Thursday the 21st. Is that what your numbering comes up with?
Hey everyone! So Wednesday I got a letter from Aaron saying he was really sick and had to go to medic. It was a short letter, only a paragraph or so, and written 10/3. He said that he would be able to call Friday, but so far no call! I was wondering if any of you have heard from your recruits recently, I'm starting to get worried Aaron is pretty sick! At the same time, I figure no news is probably good news. At least there was no phone call from medic saying he had to be pushed back or anything. Hope you are all doing well. They're almost done :)
If you haven't heard anything, he's OK. They would call if he was really sick. I know my cousin's son was in BC a few years ago and he found out he had exercise induced asthma pretty bad and got sick on top of that. They had a call right away when it was determined what the issue was. I'll keep him in my thoughts : )
I have not heard from my daughter in a while. I am going with the idea that no news is good news. from another post I believe that their battlestations will be done early in the week. I am sure they are looking just as forward to that day as we are.
Really? I thought battlestations was around the 21st. I lost count on what day they are on :) I only know its usually 6-5 when they do it.
Hello all. Got a phone call from my daughter. she said their battlestation day was wednesday the 20th. she said they were having their physical test on monday, written test on tuesday, and battlestations on wed. She sounded so tired and said she has lost 20 pounds so far. she was proud of her division though said they had 6 flags and she was very proud of that. She said they are working very hard and are counting down the days. cant wait until the 29th.
I'm glad to hear she is doing well, even though she's exhausted! Poor recruits, at least they are almost done with basic! Aaron said battlestations was next Thursday, but perhaps he meant when they finished it, so your daughter is probably right! He did tell me about their most recent flag, so go Div 350! He also said they are working hard and trying to work together. I'm so happy they are almost done! I will be so proud of their division on the 29th, I can't wait to see them!
Hey Suesmom,
WOW she lost 20 lbs!!? bless her heart! My daughter gained 7 lbs, but she definitely was borderline too thin! I get a letter every Wednesday or Thursday, and Jessie hasn't mentioned anything about flags, other than she wanted to design one.. what does 6 flags mean? Battlestations is next Wednesday? Jessie did mention that they were losing a lot of their recruits.. did sue mention anything? I wish I knew more!! I missed another phone call!! I'm surprised she still calls... I was out of town again in an area I don't have service!! I hope she doesn't divorce me as her mom!! Jess seems to love the physical parts.. they had live ammo target practice at the firing range and she loved it.. I am so surprised about how she is excelling at all this, it's hard not to burst with pride!! I look forward to meeting you and your daughter on the 29th..

hmm to late to join?
