Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I'm sorry you didn't get a letter yet. At least his girlfriend shared her info with you; that speaks well of you and her and your son for picking a thoughtful young lady who would think to share the news with you. What he wrote is typical in the first weeks. It will get better when he and his shipmates start working together.

Thanks! Shes a great young lady who I admire. I hope he hangs in there and stays strong! I was hoping to get a letter from him .. I'm sad that I didn't but I'm trying to stay positive...I know I will get one soon... Thanks for the support.

For what I've noticed some say and think that, even mind did, until they formed a div and started adjusting,, it gets better,, just be thankful he's not in 800 div.. they get it worse! mind survived! I just keep my son in my prayers and the black clouds went away for the both of us. :)

Thanks!! I received a letter from him today!! He hated the shots and nit crazy about the food... He said it sucks but he's getting used to it!! The hardest part was reading how he cried the first few nights because he was home sick... Broke my heart!! I am confident he will do fine... Saying prayers every night... Thanks all!!

OH Emma... that brought back alot of memories. Thank you for sharing. My Emma has been in almost a year and loves it nows. Paul's mom just hang in there. Things will get so much better. When he calls be supportive and let him vent. He will get through it. I promise!
