Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 085 and 086

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

;-P

I got a call from my son last night around 7:45 p.m. (Pacific time). He sounded great and was doing well :)

Fantastic for you! Nobody has heard from our recruit for a while & we're very anxious about that. I hope & pray that he is OK.
Hey everyone. Two important things for today:

First and foremost: today is 085/086 third PFA. Let's all stop and say a prayer or two or three....that every last one of them pass it today. That will take a load off all of them and they can focus on Battle Stations. WE DONT WANT ANY PHONE CALLS THIS WEEK!!!

Second: today is our last chance to win Tuesday Trivia & get our division pic on Facebook. The question usually goes up between 10:30a -11:30a. Sometimes later sometimes earlier. If you can, be at your computer during that time and try to answer the question

We are almost there.
I'm praying and have my fingers crossed. It is the home stretch....we can see the light at the other end of this long tunnel we have been in since December!!! Hooyah

I just saw a post on US Navy RTC Facebook page that says they have a two hour delayed report time for non-essential personnel today. Hope if that effects the PFA test it means they gave the recruits 2 hours to sleep in. :) Big prayers for all our recruits today. I hope it ends up the happiest day for all of them so far!

Can't wait to see my Grandson next week at PIR but disappointed because a letter came today & he said the Nukes going to SC have to fly out on Friday. He didn't say what time though. I suppose we'll be hanging out at the airport with him until his flight departs. I hope it's at least a late flight.

I got a letter today too. My son says they will have from 1030am till they have to be back at 8pm. then they go to the airport around midnight flying out around 6am to SC. He thinks we could bring him his phone at the airport. He's asking for boxers, his phone and his nike sneakers. Priorities! haha.

Thank you so much for the information. Although we are sad that we can't spend Saturday with him, at least we now know we have Friday until he has to report back to the base. Our flight home to Colorado isn't until Sunday so I guess we'll find something to do on Saturday. Anybody have any ideas on what to do all day and be able to stay warm!

He did say the times were tentative but it did seem like they gave him a lot of detail . The weather is suppose to be brutal on Thursday. Highs in the single digits. Our flight to New Mexico is Sunday evening. We plan to sight see and relax.

Anyone familiar with the Metra Rail?

Just wondering what time of day battle stations is typically over. I know calls are not expected until after 2 central, but when do the SR's actually finish with the test?
