Those of you old enough to remember this song by the Beatles will know the tune...if not you can find it somewhere on youtube.  I've changed a few words which I put in all CAPS.  As you can probably tell NO LETTER came today!   Here's a THEME for all of us!

PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN

Wait, oh yes wait a minute mister postman
Wait, wait mister postman

Mister postman look and see
If there's a letter in your bag for me
I been waiting such a long time
Since I heard from that SR of mine

There must be some word today
From my SR so far away
Please mister postman look and see
If there's a letter, a letter for me
I been standing here waiting mister postman
So patiently
For just a card or just a letter
Saying MY SR IS THINKING OF me

Please Mr. Postman, look and see
If there's a letter, oh yeh for me,
I've been waiting, a long long time
Since I've heard from that SR of mine.

So many days you passed me by
See the tear standing in my eye
You didn't stop to make me feel better
By leaving me a card or a letter

Please Mr. Postman, look and see
If there's a letter, oh yeh for me,
I've been waiting, a long long time
Since I've heard from that SR of mine.

You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute
You gotta check it and see, one more time for me

Wait
Wait
Wait
Deliver the letter, the sooner the better

Wait

I am a Postmaster -- I love this song!

I'm a retired postal worker (37 years).  Husband still works for Post Office.  Where are you Postmaster

LOVE IT!!!
Thanks
Small town Ochlocknee GA.  Level 16 office.

Cool!  I worked I worked at Santa Clarita P&DC (calif) as a Training Tech ( machine clerk-old LSM's before that).  My husband is a clerk at Sherman Oaks (mostly box clerk).  He is hoping to retire 8/1/12.

I know he will enjoy retired life.  This postal service is not the same as the one we started with! lol  Think the internet is finally catching up with us.
not if the boot camp kids still have to mail :-)   I've been mailing everyday!    I am loving retirement and can't wait until my husband can join me
Yes I am so thankful to our military for only recognizing the USPS as a means of communication.

Well "the box" was FedEx

I've always been a letter writer.  Something about the permanence of being able to keep it for ever has always attracted me.  But I have never appreciated it more than I do right now when we are waiting for any word from our kids.

where are you postmaster?

I remember this song.  Thanks Terry!!
