Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 161 and 162.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Glad to see a board for my sons ship and division! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hey there, my best friend's bf is in this div. My husband is in 153 :)

Glad to see a board for this also.  Just got my first phone call today. was very excited and very emotional.  I want to make sure I give a special shout out to our SR's   RDC PO Gladding who is Sailor of the Year.  and is the BEST RDC EVER.  My son said.  My son wanted me to make sure I mentioned this.....   I am new to ALL of this.  When I went thru there was not blogs and pages. I am so happy for all the information out there.

Mommafox, I got my first letter today. He got his wisdom teeth out this week too!!
I would think you should get something soon!!! Watch your mailbox!!!
My son told me last week, and in a letter to his girlfriend this week, that he will most likely be making a call today (march 23). Just a heads up for the division... The phones may ring!!!

What's with pulling everyone's wisdom teeth? Mine had it done, too.

If the wisdom teeth seem to be a problem at all, or even hint to be a problem down the road the Navy will pull them. It is better to get those dagum things out now rather than be somewhere out in the middle of the ocean, for three to six months, without a dentist that can take care of them. :)

They don't always pull them, but the majority of the recruits seem to get them pulled. The SRs that have them pulled get three days SIQ and LLD, something the other recruits don't get. LOL

Removal was optional since there were no obvious problems, but decided it was best to prevent it happening at A School when discomfort and medication could distract from studies.

My SR had wisdom teeth pulled which is a bummer because i think it will undo 4k worth of orthodontics...LOL

Anyone heard from their SR in the past 2 weeks?

Hi everyone, my daughter is ship 14 Div 161 and I have misplaced the password for the gate access. Any ideas how I can get this again. Also, does everyone on same ship/division have the same password? Help would be greatly appreciated.

itlnlady, Ask your daughter for the password in your next letter to her, if she doesn't remember it she can ask another recruit. You can also ask her when she calls after BS, just write yourself a not to remember to ask her. :)

You cannot get the password from anyone here on this website, nor will the PAO office give it out.
