'Candle in the Window' by Alabama...this song meant so much to me while son was in Boot  (years ago) and then during a few deployments too.  Always love listening to it at Christmas.....really heart-warming and reminds me of  why we light Blue Candles for our Sailors, anytime-anywhere.  Blessing to all Navy Families!  (have kleenex ready dear ones)

Storymom, we all are with you in this terrible event that occurred in Canada. It just reinforces our need for a strong military and Police force.

Our Blue Candle is on for all our Service men and women and those members of the Police forces in our countries.

WE use an electric single Christmas candle with a blue bulb. Have it on 24/7 with lots of extra bulbs standing by. The light illuminates a picture from boot camp graduation of our sailor. It greets us every time we pass it and we send out prayers and good vibrations to our Sailor and all his shipmates. It takes a Village to raise a Sailor.
