Event Description

This is a Meet and Greet for families of recruits with a Pass-In-Review date of Thursday, May 27, 2010.

The Meet and Greet is sponsored by the Ramada Waukegan-Gurnee as a service to the families of recruits, and occurs on the evening prior to their graduation. Families of recruits in all divisions are welcome to attend, whether or not you're staying there.

The time is 6:00-8:00 PM, and free, hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. For guests registered at the Ramada, you will be given complimentary drink tickets, 2/room (not 2/guest). A cash bar will be available for non-registered attendees. The Ramada will also provide name tags, so we won’t be overly-taxed trying to remember the names of all our new friends!

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP and leave a comment below with the number you’ll have attending. We need to get an estimated head count to the Ramada by Tuesday, May 25th.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

I think that we ALL should plan to go to the USO directly afterward...we have to wait somewhere anyway, and it would give those of us who CAN'T get there to visit and connect with y'all sooner for the M&G - a chance to meet up.

I can't wait to see all of you and give you hugs or handshakes depending on your preference!

Blessings,
~marilyn~

Chris's Mom, from what I have been able to find out so far is the USO offers refreshments at the USO building after graduations. I will be calling public affairs today when I get a chance to see if I can confirm this. It would be for anyone who wants to go and there isn't any RSVP required. A few of us Moms from Div 196 thought it would be a good place to meet seeing we can't make the other meet and greet to meet each other. Though communication in our group and died down and I'm not sure what to think....

It looks like I may be the only person from our div 196 that is going to the Meet & Greet. I'm going to pass on a flower but I look forward to meeting you all.

what's the USO, and are all the sailors going to be there, or only the ones from div 196?
Comment by Jakesmom on May 17, 2010 at 11:18am
We can't make it to the Meet & Greet at the Ramada seeing we will only get there Thurs. AM really early. We are staying at the Super 8 for the whole weekend though. I would love a flower though - division 196. A few of us from Div 196 are going to try to meet at the USO following graduation if anyone is interested. They put out refreshments etc. and that way we can meet the sailors too.
