I know about staying busy. My husband was on travel last week in the middle east while Andrew was also traveling. I told my boys...they owe me! I had to drive down to VA Beach last Tuesday to pick Andrew's truck up and bring it home while he is gone! Crazy! I am never settled until I know they are safe! I have heard from Drew several times since he landed and went to the ship. We Skype when we can. I am sure they will be busy. I am waiting to hear what division he is in....so I can mail his package. I guess they won't be in port much longer. If I hear anything I will let you know! Have a good rest of the week!

I heard from my son today around 10:30 eastern standard time. He left me a message on facebook and then we actually got to chat. He said they had landed. It was a LONG flight. It looks like they are about 12 hours ahead of us. He doesn't know when they will go to the ship. Just thought you might like to know!

Yes...our boys are together. Andrew said he talked with your son. I am glad there is a few of them together. When Andrew was going through BUDS us Moms had a fantastic support system. I have so missed having that...when Drew dropped it was like I was loosing my best friends. Some I've kept in contact with and keep tabs on their sons that are still in BUDS. If you have an address for the ship I would love to have. Definitely, lets keep in touch. I heard from Andrew early this morning on Facebook...we said they were in Portugal. He said he would let me know when they get to Italy but I haven't heard anything. I will let you know if I do!

I'm sorry I missed you. We ended up waiting outside the building afterall. When I went in to use the rr didn't see anyone for meet and greet. It all worked out ok though. We had lunch in the food court and then went into town.

Hi Katie,
Thanks for friend requesting me. Idon't post on the site because my son asked me not to. He said the instructors are having a field day with all the comments moms and girlfriends make. My daughter and Iare flying in from San Francisco on May 26th. at around 5pm, unfortunetly we will probably be unable to make it to the M&G. We are actually going to be staying in Libertyville. Hopefully we will be able to make after graduation, that is if I can let my son go from that enormous hug I will have him in. Thanks again for requesting me.

Mom Be Bold
I may clutch a picture of my child
Wander into his room where the memories run wild
Thoughts come with me wherever I go
Prayers often lead my way, you know
My young one has left to be so brave
The hero of my heart, gone to save
At times I want to reach out and hold
But I know his answer, "Mom be bold."
The love of my child is part of me
So strong and good, it will always be
Nurtured in life by a caring heart
This child to me is a work of art
Dear God you know my love is true
I've prayed for my soldier, more I'll do
And to mothers who live their life and I
We'll grow in support, with our flag raised high
Together we'll get through each new day
Becoming great friends, God Bless our way.

I hope this helps you all as much as it helped me.

OOHRAH!!!!!!
My Son, My Sailor, My Hero!!!!
