Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Event Description
This is a Meet and Greet for families of recruits with a Pass-In-Review date of Thursday, May 27, 2010.
The Meet and Greet is sponsored by the Ramada Waukegan-Gurnee as a service to the families of recruits, and occurs on the evening prior to their graduation. Families of recruits in all divisions are welcome to attend, whether or not you're staying there.
The time is 6:00-8:00 PM, and free, hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. For guests registered at the Ramada, you will be given complimentary drink tickets, 2/room (not 2/guest). A cash bar will be available for non-registered attendees. The Ramada will also provide name tags, so we won’t be overly-taxed trying to remember the names of all our new friends!
If you are planning to attend, please RSVP and leave a comment below with the number you’ll have attending. We need to get an estimated head count to the Ramada by Tuesday, May 25th.

Nancy- would you still like a corsage? There will be others at the M&G from your div- if you spot one at the grad with 2 on just go up and introduce yourself. Your color is purple.

I think it's because of the time zone there....
I'm sure you can find a tv somewhere close to take a peeeeek! If you are at the Meet and Greet, you can probably step out for a moment to see what's going on. I'd guess that the other WONDERFUL people there will understand! (I will be getting ready to get on a flight - but I'd gladly text message you with any news I get if you want to "friend me" with your cell # or personal email!)
We gotta stick together in even these little things, don't we?!?!

haha! i'm so glad i'm not alone! i've been watching all season and i am totally pulling for *LEE* as well. he is a true artist! bummer it's on at 7. here on the west coast it starts at 8 or 9. maybe there's a tv nearby?
