OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

There will be five in our group.  I'm pretty sure we'll all be attending... we're bringing our dog to the hotel with us, so one of us may stay back with the pooch. Looking forward to meeting all of you wonderful, helpful women!

Getting so anxious to see you ladies!! A week from tomorrow! How is that possible?!
Comment by Posie (Ship 3 Div 249) on July 27, 2011 at 9:34am

Am I the only one struck by anxiety??  10 days, don't they still have BS 21?  I'm a wreck.  Have made flights for me and my son's girlfriend, but we won't get up there until probably 9:30 or so Thursday night.  I'm hoping to find some other Moms to have a glass of nerve-chasing-wine with!
