Those who attended today -- 5/2 -- be sure to post pictures or at least tell us about the flag carriers! div 927 was supposed to carry flags today!
Congratulations Sailors and families!!
Thanks!! I posted Pua's pics. Stop by and take a look. She's a pretty sailor LOL The flag carriers were awesome. All the 900 divisions represented were. Alot has changed in the Hall in nine years. It looks wonderful and it was cool.
I absolutely loved the drum section while we were there last week, clearly a lot of hard work goes into the performance groups in a very short amount of time.
What a wonderful day! It was totally awesome. Everyone in my family was crying even the men! It was such a incredible feeling to see the door raise up and you can see those feet marching in place. To add to it the rain pouring down on them made it even more dramatic. There was gasps and 'ahhhhs' all over the room when we saw them standing in the rain in their raincoats and dixie cup hats! From what my son has said they did not expect to see everyone standing up cheering, whistling and clapping as they marched in. He said they all kinda gasp themselves and became a little nervous when they realized how many people were in there. They were expecting a round of quiet applause. I guess they thought the Navy folks would be able to keep order among us. LOL! And the PDA's - it was all over the place! No holding back! There is no way! The day was AWESOME!!!! So Proud of Our New Sailors!
Congratulations Gaye - what a wonderful, life long memory that day will be for your family and your sailor!
