Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

Did Cam go into boot undecided for a job? I only ask because there is a bonus for kids going into seals. If he isn't aware of it he mite want to ask.

No he knew he wanted seals but chose cryptologist, he didn't pass the PT for seals ahead of time because instead of getting into shape he was on his computer 24/7 so now he wants to go for it. He did get a 20k sign on bonus though. He did really good on his test so maybe that helped.
Hello Linda P. I am also a Linda and have a son in the reserves in GL since 2/26. He is in div 161, ship 7.His name is Justin Newlin and he grads 3/25. We were also told of the 20 k bonus and checks of 1600 @ month. I have heard many horror stories about the bonus. Some kids havent recieved anything a year after A" school grad and some just a portion. Have you heard anything? My son went in as a "carpenter". He had tech school prior and was told he tetsed out' of some of the classes there.He really looks forward to meeting lots of new people, and Balking up"...he is 6'4', but only about 136. He has been in the gyms and running lots, but had a tough time doing the required PT in the aloted TIME. I have faith all will go well with that! he looks forward to the PT. I have recieved his box', and form letter. His short 4 lines said he well and even LAUGHING some....I check the msail all the time, even though i know they cant write but on Sundays. I have sent 4 letters already along with otherts from the family. i dont know if he has recieved any yet...i hope so! I miss him!!!
I made our reservations at the Navy Lodge its for Navy families and its $62 per night.

my name is Hannah Brekke and I live in Mankato, MN. Calvin is my only child and he decided to join the Navy. I'm so proud of him. He will graduate from boot camp on April 4th. I will be there to show him that I love him and proud of him that he did it.
