good luck to your son. and you. i cant wait until graduation march 28th. another month away. im starting to see the change already in just 2 letters. and it is all good. just gotta learn that its not about me its about him!!! thanks so much for making me feel okay by writing back.
Yep. I go to the boot camp's website and check the weather there. Then at least I know if he's cold or not that day. It was so cold the other day, he said the wind made their eyes tear, but the tears froze!
My name is Linda and my boy left for bootcamp 6 days ago. I am so lonely without him but am glad to know I am not alone. It can drive you crazy not hearing from him but when I get upset I try to keep busy doing other things and talking to navy moms here on this website. I love this website its a wealth of information and friends who know what I am going through. Welcome and am so glad your going to see your son soon. My son will graduate end of april not sure of the date yet.
No-one does as well as they thought they would. When Bryan left my husband and I were alons for the 1st time in our marriage. Mt very large dog is now a spoiled rotten baby. So is my husband. You bring up son's knowing that they will leave someday, but it hurts like heck when they do.
You can do it. Take time for your self- try a new recipe or take up a new hobby. The children shouldn't be the only ones who grow and learn. It's your turn too.
Remember that it's okay to miss them, just don't let them know it.

well i would have to say when I went to bootcamp we got a phone call that night we got there but only for a minute or 2...but after that I would have to say it was about 2-3 weeks or maybe a month....but just send him lots of letters once you get his address because althought I am sure you would love to talk to him.....hearing from you through words is just as good.....i still have my letters and i am going on my 5th year.....make sure to write write write because like I said in another discussion....there is nothing worse than being the only person not getting letters...that happened to me for like 2 weeks straight.....i was soo sad but i was soo happy when i got them....so again WRITE WRITE WRITE.......i hope this helps
