When James was in Great Lakes There was NO CELL PHONE ALLOWED.No electronics of any kind. But there are always one or two who hide phone I heard. My address came in a welcome letter from Great lakes. It came the same day my 1st letter came from James :)
I want to say 2 weeks. They write letters on Sundays to mail Monday. ( have letter ready by Sunday). James mailed his letter 7 days from when i saw him last. Mailed on Mondays I got the letters every Wednesday. That was almost a year ago in April :)
Today has been eight days and nothing yet, I am waiting axiously for the mail these
last two days hoping to get something. Its amazing how my world has became so dependant on one letter. I will be so happy to get one.
Hang in there - you should get something soon. I got two letters from my son on the same day and then I have had nothing for almost two weeks. So I know how you feel! I rush home and check the mail every day now.
Thanks I will hang in there can't wait to hear from him. My boy is in ship 09 Div 153 and left on 2/21 anyone have a boy in the same ship and div? I thought it would be nice to tell him I am talking to their mom online.
Aw - I know exactly how you feel. The night my son left when we said goodbye he hugged me so tight and just cried. I think if we both could have changed it that night we would have. Though I know he has to go out on his own it certainly isn't any easier. The one and only call I got I could tell as we were hanging up he was crying too. I just want to hear from him soon,.
Hi, I'm Tammy. I have the most wonderful Son that started at Great Lakes on 2/21/08. I am a single mother and Travis is my only child. When I had to leave him and pulled away... that was one of the hardest things I had ever done. I cried for a few days. Emptiness set in real fast. I have raised him by myself. I am very very proud of him! He is 20 yrs old.
