It has been difficult, yet very rewarding in sending my two wonderful boys off to join the "world's finest navy"! I have no doubt that they will be an asset to the navy, and make their mark known! I have seen that a few others have sent several children into the navy, at different times, but have yet to see anyone sending off two at the same time. God is good, He does see us through, and gives us no more than what we can handle. Blessings to everyone, and may his safety encompass us all about!

I can't thank you enough, by being a model for me, to show how I will get through! I had responded earlier, but it some how did not go through. My two are very super close, but not dependent on each other. For as long as I can almost remember, they wanted to go into special ops, and the navy. I know they talk all the time, although one had been held up for a week after BC due to paperwork that was lost in MEPS. I am told that they should soon catch up, so that will be an asset, for them and for me! Thanks for the info on the group of mothers with more that one, I did join in, and think it will be a real blessing! Thanks again, I look forward to chatting more! :o)
Thanks, and we can all get on knowing that we can be cool together! HA! Its so great in meeting so many other wonderful friends!
It isn't discriminating between children or mates at this site, which is even more encouraging and enlightening. And makes this so much more personal! We all can be there for each other, especially when no one else understands our senseless muttering, and longing to "be in the crowd" using our new found Lingo (navy abbrev. and talk!) So congrats on your sailor, and I know its still a period of adjustment. For you, and for him!
I commend your strength, after having one already go through, and knowing the possibility of having more contemplating that same option! I do think we are all so proud of them, they made the choice, but we are all behind them every step of the way! God is good, isn't he?! He has blessed us all beyond our belief!
Hello there. Yes we have twin boys also. Andrew and Eric. Andrew is now in Goose Neck SC for his Nuke School and Eric is in Pensacola FL for his Puter School. It's a good feeling and honor to see not only my twins but others to serve our country. It's indeed patriotic.!!!
Correction Andrew is in Goose Creek, SC.
Congratulations to you, your boys and family! Looks like you, too, are dealing with sending in two at one time! My best wishes to all of you, and how I understand what you are going through! I had spent quite a bit of time in and around Pensacola, so Eric will have a grand time there, I just love the area! Ft.Walton and Destin are about 40 miles to the east and are other great areas, the beaches are FANTASTIC! You just have to find some vacation time to go and enjoy, let alone spend time with your sailor! I know the life of a sailor doesn't necessarily leave much free time at the moment...but I hope he learns to enjoy what opportunities he can get! As for Andrew in SC, I have only been over towards Hilton Head, near Savannah. It too, is gorgeous, but the ocean is not as clear as in FL. Yet that southern hospitality that is so indigious of the Carolina's cant be beat, so I hope Andrew too can go enjoy some of that culture! Coming from America's heartland myself, being near the ocean is quite the experience! I am so very proud of my twin boys and what they are accomplishing already, and the maturity I am seeing in every call, letter, or message, that I bet you have also seen in yours! Best wishes again...Kim
Hi Kim Ann, I was happy to find that there was another group just for Mother's Of Twins in the Navy!! I have Identical twin
sons, one in San Diego and one deployed on the USS Ronald Reagan. They enjoy the Navy life and actually the other twin
would like to be on the ship. I'm sure he'll get his chance. It is difficult to know they made the choice to enlist, but it is admirable and certainly encouraged if that is what they chose to do. One twin had a degree in Finance and the other had his
Associates, so he is finishing up while on deployment. They keep them really busy. My boys keep in constant contact and miss one another a lot. They have always been near enough to get together so this is new to them. They are getting used to
it now, since they have both been in over a year so far. Great to find there are others dealing with this, or others, having more than one in. It's just the same. They are all our special kids/men.
