Address to Write My Son in Boot Camp at Great Lake, IL

Hi,

I have been waiting patiently to write my son but I have not received the post card they said he would send when he got there.  He left on July 6th, I got my 1 phone call but I just need and want to send him something to let him know I'm thinking about him.  So, is there a general address I can use to send him a letter or do I have to wait for the post card because I will need specific information....please help me, I miss my my son and I just need to make sure he ok, he only 17.   WhooooBoy, this is really hard for me.

magnoliagirl, those are GREAT photos of your son!!!! Boy I wish our sons knew each other! At least we know they are going thru the same things right now! Wow he sure looked different with his hair all cut off! lol! It's funny because I have a photo on my page too with son/recruiter! That is so damn funny about the Everybody Loves Raymond! I know exactly what episode youre talking about and I laughed so hard at your post I wanted to pee my pants! Whew!  Hope youre having a good day!
Its breaking my heart, I have not received a letter as of yet.  I've read on the PIR 9/1/11 group and ppl are saying the got letters on Thursday and that they are getting phone privileges according to group and from what I read, I may receive a call tomorrow.  I am sooo praying and hoping because at this point, I'm in tears waiting to just hear something from my son.  All day I posted pics of him on my page so that I can look at them.  I just want to hear from him to make sure he is ok...trying to be strong and hold on.
oh brejones! poor dear.  I"m going to go look at your pictures.  My son's dad said he thought they made sure they wrote to their moms.  Maybe it got lost or something.  I think it's horrible that there's not a number that we can call..(but I guess it's for the best otherwise, I'm sure I'd have been blowin it up by now!)  Pray pray pray...I will too.  I'm going look at your pictures of that boy right now!  Yes, I read also about phone calls coming today...
OMG...what a handsome handsome boy!!!  And you look just like I pictured! And I LOVE the picture with his recruiter.  Man I love those white uniforms!!! Man...he looks well-trained and ready for sure...I'm not sure my son had any idea what to expect.  It was a year between when he signed up and when he left and everytime I'd ask him "what about this, what about that" he'd say, "I don't know"...I didn't know anything till I found this website!  Well..let's keep those phones close today!
Oh brejones, My heart goes out to you because I know the waiting game and uncertainty and heartbreak is just killing you! Pleeez stay strong girl! We are here for you and I am praying daily for you to get the peace you so desperately need right now...I'm with magnoliagirl...I'm going to look at your pictures. I'm thinking of you!!
thank you!  Glad I could give you a chuckle...I told myself I should start a journal or something with all these funny stories.  I never did that when they were little either, but should have.  I'll check in on you later in the day.  They are saying we Ship 11/div 284 should be getting phone calls today.  I know our sons aren't in the same ship/div and i don't think even have the same PIR date...I'm not even sure how we stumbled onto each other!  But I'm awfully glad we did! lol

I heard from my SON...I heard from my SON.  I am sooooo happy.   I screamed in his ear when I realized it was him.  He told me he hate the place, then he said he just hate the RDC yelling at him but he will survive.  He said he absolutely LOVE the food there.  He said his group has not come together as a group, he said its every man for himself.  He told me his A school would be in Great Lakes so I'm glad because I planned to stay until Sunday or Monday.  He told me he got all my letters and when I asked why he didn't send me a letter yet, he said Maaaa, I don't have time.  The only time is on Sunday but you have to shine your shoes, iron his uniform and get stuff together.  I was like SON, I sent you a questionnaire too.  He was like, you want me to actually answer those questions, I said Yes SON...LOL.  The LORD answered my prayers because I was truly upset and crying because I was worried.  He said, he really don't know what week he's on but his PIR is 9/1/11.  He wanted me to tell everyone he said HI.

I see my family this weekend because we have a reunion.  Now I can tell them I actually talked to Him and all is well and he said HI ! ! !

Anyways, LIFE is sooooo better now that I heard from my SON.....HoooooHuuuuuum, I FEEL GOOD ! ! !

awww you're so sweet. No our son's arent in the same ship/div. Theyr'e 2 weeks apart in PIR. I sure am glad I forged a bond with you tho. I believe in fate and we all need each other to lean on at this time...thanks for being sooo awesome! Praying you get that call tonight, fingers and toes are crossed! Will ck in with you tomorrow to find out! I don't even know you.. but I would bet my entire paycheck that you aren't setting that phone down for 1 second tonight..haha. Make sure it doesn't fall off your pillow in the night! !!! lol!

Hey Jessesmom,

I feel close to you ladies too.  Wow, are sons are apart in PIR dates but I'm glad we was able to bond here.

However, I don't think you read my previous post right because I actually got the phone call today, see my previous post.  Just the thought of you coming thru to check on me make me smile and I wanted to say Thank You.  Not only to you but too all others that have come on my discussion as well.

Again, THANK YOU ALL.  Life is soooo much better now that heard from my son today.

I couldn't agree more...I think it was more than fate that we all found each other with sons in different divisions and different PIR's...I don't believe anything is coincidence.  no call no letter for me..but tomorrow will be the day, I'm sure. xo goodnight friends.
Oh I'm so relieved to hear that brejones! Whew!!! Magnoliagirl...I'm praying todays the day!!!! ;)
