For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

hi Carmen, I am do sorry to have to hear this. If this via the first time you are hearing from your Son, then usually its normal but if not I have to explain. BC is very hard strenuous on top of studying because they have 3 test also they test on academically. He has been working hard and barely being able to pass may be weighing heavy on him. Send encouraging scriptures, when you are able to speak to him pray over the phone with him. It will help. Listen and let him speak sometimes they need to vent and when he's done have scriptures and a prayer ready. Many feel that way in the beginning. My son second guessed himself, it wasnt cause he didn't pass the physical part or anything it was all the yelling in your face getting in trouble because of those that don't listen. So their is alot of things that go on. If you need anything please reach out And I can help with info. And Carmen he will be fine, you have to be strong for him.

Thank you and yes I believe that the yelling is what is getting too him he is not use to it. He has been writing to me at least once a week I have seen the changes in his letter. Yesterday letter was a real sad one and sounded so stress. So I will continue too encourage him and with a positive note he should be PIR on June 1st.

Hi Carmen, I dont know if hes gone to the Sunday services they have for them, sometimes they have many things that have to be done on their only day off and find it difficult to attend but that helped my son to stay positive. Your son is so close to finish and it starts to get easier as they come together as a team and division and their RDCs will not be as strict. Yes, continue to write encouraging letters and cheer him on when he calls too so he can continue to be strong and hang in there, hes got it! I got creative with my letters to my son and wrote inspirational quotes with drawings that I found on Pinterest and used markers & color pencils. Anything to shine some light their way they will thank you and Love it. I will pray for him for strength so he can continue to do well. Reach out to any of us ladies on here we will gladly help out in any way.

Thank you when I wrote too him I did suggest the Sunday Service for him and send him some encouraging scripts. He is almost there.
