My son is enlisted MA.  I believe he will be going to "A" School in San Antonio.  PIR is 4/14 at this point. I am wondering how long we will have to spend with him before he departs.  TIA!

For everything you need to know about PIR weekend, CLICK HERE.

The short answer: You will have time with your Sailor from the end of PIR,10:30, until early evening, 8-9ish. Most likely he will fly to San Antonio on Saturday. Get to the airport early Saturday morning and you can spend a few more hours together. You won't know the specifics of his travel plans until after PIR.

Hi Lisa - my son is also PIR 4/14 although I don't know where my son will be attending A-School.   Where are you from ?  Will look forward to meeting you at Sarge's Banquet : )

Holly

Hi Holly! We are from Virginia. How about you?  Looking forward to meeting you also.  So excited!  My only complaint is the lack of communication between bootcamp and home.  I have sent many letters. Some that have questions I need answers to and have only received one short letter from my son and only one phone call.  I am the person that has to have everything in order or I go insane.  The Struggle Is Real!!!  LOL

Holly, check your My Page.

Awesome! Thank you so much CryptoDad!
Thanks for sharing, we leave Sunday morning just incase.
