Looking for anyone that had a recruit leave yesterday Jan 27th. My brother left yesterday from Harrisburg Pa. It was very hard as I am twelve years older than my little bro and watched him grow up! He called my mom last night at 10:30 pm...ten minutes after I left her house! I hope these next eight weeks go fast! Good luck to all those parents, siblings, spouse of those who just left for GL!

My son left for boot camp three days before Thanksgiving and will be going through PIR in just a few hours. I know exactly how hard it is for you and your family right now. Know that the eight weeks do go fairly quickly. It will go much faster if you write him often. I just wrote my son as if we were holding a conversation and could imagine his reply. Know that most of his letters will be more like quick notes, but they are gifts you will treasure. My family will be praying for your family and your brother as you go through this time.
my husband left on the 28th

Hello! There seem to be many groups on N4M regarding where to stay. Look at the PIR forum or group. Feel free to join my group PIR3/26/10. Did you receive any letters yet? I really am hoping my brother writes today!! My mom and I are also trying to find a place to stay as well. Once I find out more about what hotels to stay at I will keep you posted. My thoughts go out to you!! Hope to see you in the PIR 3/26/10 group!!
