My husband left yesterday from New York. First day I'm alone. For sure they will meet each other in BC. He called from there from his cell phone and said next time I'll call you in 2-3 weeks. That's all till now.
Good to know that we should expect the next call in 2-3 weeks. It was very difficult to hear our son on the phone and all he told us was that the box would be coming and that he arrived safely. Hang in and try to surround yourself with good friends. I find the busier I am, the less I cry. This site has been a huge help.
My daughter left today.......and I watched as she went through the MEPS center and got on the van to head to the airport.........its so very hard and I am trying not to break down..........don't know how I will handle not talking to her on the phone for 8 weeks.
My son left 8/18. We got his final call at 7:30 PM last night. It is hard. You should join our group of August Moms/loved ones.
My son left from NC on Aug 18th. I received my phone call around 1:00 AM. Yes I have cried and cried cried. LOL
I bet our kids rode together on the van and the plane.
What airport did your daughter leave out of?
Charlotte, NC on wednesday, 8/18/2010
My daughter left August 18 from Houston..
i'll let you know when i get "the box", maybe they are in the same division. my son is going to go to A School in Pensacola. What time did you get your call. we didn't hear from our son until 2AM.
My first posting! My son left from Panama City on the17th - to MEPS in Montgomery then called me at 11:30 p.m. on the 18th from Great Lakes. Got the box only two days later but no address. Or did I miss it?
I sense his tiredness and well, so proud but a lilttle worried too.:) His A school is in Texas , wish it were in Pensacola that is only about 2 hours away.
My son left out of North Carolina. He will be going to A school in Charleston SC. (Nuke School)
