I have a few questions about our bah. My husband is in basic training, and he graduates this Friday, Oct. 7th. We haven't received our bah and I've heard that you probably won't get it until sometime after graduation. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long after basic it takes for it to come through. I'm also wondering if when we receive the first bah payment, will it be one lump sum from the time he started basic?? And how does it show up in your account? Does it come with your regular pay or will it be a separate payment all together? Do you receive it on the 1st of the month with your regular pay or is it split in half between the 1st and the 15th. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, the back BAH comes in one lump sum, and yes, it takes a couple pay cycles to kick in, so you should have it very soon.  It will be in with the regular pay, but on his LES on mypay, it will show over in the allowances column.   Pretty sure it comes once a month, been so long for us I don't remember.   You'll know soon!

After he gets his back pay it is divided up between the two paychecks each month.

navy wife 914, i recieved mine on the first paycheck that my hubby got. it was a large paycheck but it didnt come until like 5 weeks into basic.
