For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello everyone. Im bored at work and I have decided instead of spending my time on the internet on Facebook that I would rather help you awnser any questions you may have.
I know alot of you have many questions about bootcamp, A-school etc and alot of them are very easily awnsered.
Keep in mind I went through boot camp back in 2002 and many things have changed. If you have a specific question about boot camp, you should check out "RTC" face book page and ask a question there.

A great grou for you to join to answer questions is http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms also any of the PIR groups esp some of the newer ones.
There is a group "Your questions answered" that was formed by a Sailor but she is underway right now so not able to answer quesitons. You may pop in there and see if anyone has posted anything that needs to be addressed.
The DEP groups are also a great place to answer questions...thanks for being here and thank you for your service. What is your rate? Are you shore duty now. My son is shore duty in Italy and really loves it. He does get homesick from time to time but he loves what he does (IT) and loves the Navy, he knows that even though he misses home he would be bored and perhaps jobless here.

I will look at the other pages you showed me and awnser those questions when I have time. The reason I am not so quick to share my rating/command etc is because the DON moniters these sites heavily.
The reason I signed up in the first place is because I read a thread about a mother who had gotten so much wrong information from her son who had gone through UCMJ ART 15 Captains Mast and the mother didnt have the slightest clue what was going on. I remeber reading that her son had said something along the lines of "oh I spoke to the CO" when it was a 1 way conversation awarding punishment from the Sailors actions.

That was funny but since I bust my butt at work I think I can spare a little time to help others. Im sure I will have questions also with #2 being due in a month or so. What a better place to be than around loving Mothers?
