My son left Wednesday the 10th for boot camp in great lakes IL. I miss him so much, not hearing his voice is driving me nuts. I can't wait till I get his address to start writing. I need alot of support, I know he will be fine. He will be strong. This is a great idea to have this page to give support to those who need it and have been through this and are giving support.

Does anyone know if we will get any time with our kids on Saturday after graduation?  I am still waiting for a letter.
We received the form letter, last Saturday, but nothing since.  This experience is teaching me patience:)

oops sorry... bad habit

You must be so proud of the children. Great job. Always remember to take a little credit!  This is not too early to start really organizing for PIR.

There is quite a bit of into in this group on PIR - I know it seems like a lot of reading - can't help that - by the time you read it the umpteenth time, it'll make sense - then after PIR, it'll really make sense.

Order as many photos, dvds, bound books as your pocket book can stand. They are priceless.

My son left July 13th for boot camp and I cried for a couple of days but I realized this is what he wanted.  I anxiously awaited his first phone call (which was 30 seconds) and his box of personal stuff.  I ran to the mailbox every Wednesday because that's when I got his letters.  He graduates in two days and we are getting ready to leave for the Great Lakes.  I am so proud of him I can't even put it into words.  Boot camp was hard because I couldn't just pick up the phone and call or text him but he has made it through and so have I.  He has grown up so much and I can hear it in his voice when he calls me.
