Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

if you are going to PIR yes you will get to spend time with him on Friday. If he is going away for school odds are 99% he is leaving Saturday. SO its a little bit of time but we learn to take what ever time we can.

The most important thing would be to join the Boot Camps moms group. You'll meet other with whom you can cheer, commiserate and bond over the next 8 weeks. You probably already got the "I am here" call, next to arrive will be the box, then the form letter. Read the info contain in the survival guide. There are links to important sites (especially the Recruit Training Command). By joining the BC moms group and knowing that the info is always available in the guide, you are not longer lost!

Hello Ivory, I know how you feel. This is all so new to me as well, I'm still trying to understand why he chose it. I guess we haft to adapt, along with them. I just can't wait to hear from my son in a few weeks. The wait is the worse, and not knowing what's going on! Lord be with them, and us.

My son was suppose to leave last September however was delayed. Ive been on the site awhile just havent logged in for some time. The recruiter in my area is a great help as well as this site. I can answer some of your questions but not all. Are you planning on attending his graduation? I did send you a friend request.
This week for them is processing week. They should be graduating May 4th if all goes as planned if not the following week May 11th. Don't worry Im sure he is doing fine. Ive been prepared for this for quite sometime so its been easy for me to adjust.
