My son just left for boot camp on June 5th, he is my baby and last one to leave, I feel so empty and sad and cry off and on throughout the day, I hear it will get easier. I thought bootcamp was 10 weeks but I see alot of people saying it is only 8 weeks, just wondering which is right?

Boot camp can be 7 to 10 weeks, but 8 1/2 weeks is average. Your SR's most likely PIR date will be 08/02/2013 by counting 9 Fridays, but since he left on a Wednesday it is possible, but unlikely unless storms caused extra recruits to be shipped this week, that he could have PIR the week after. It is also possible that he could be in a push division and have PIR the week before, but that happens more for those who arrive on a Monday or a Tuesday than for those who arrive later in the week as your SR did.
Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June, to connect with others with loved ones who left today and may have PIR together.
You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

Your're not alone, I am going through the same thing. My SR left June 6th. He is our baby too and both me and my husband are having a tough time BUT are SO proud of him. Looking forward to seeing him during PIR!
