My girl arrived 6/25/13. Received the box and the 1st unscripted call. She states she was still waiting for her division to fill. 7/7/14 was the last of P-days. 13 in total - is that normal? Anyway, "official" letter states PIR is 8/22/14. Ship 03, Div 261. Anyone else out there who has someone in this division?

My daughter left for boot camp on June 16th. I has been tough, I miss her so much!!!

My son leaves for MEPS 1 week from today.  He's my last one home.  I feel like my heart is being ripped out.

July 7, 2004

My son leaves in a week on the 16th. Time is passing fast.

My son leaves next Thursday.. I am already broken.

My son arrived in Great Lakes Monday night. He's my oldest. I miss him terribly already, but it's gonna be a great thing. He was so excited and ready to go.

He flew to Illinois this past Monday, 7/7.  Cried more than when I sent him to college! But I have a very positive outlook and I know that he is in good hands.

Oh Jenna, I feel your pain. I agree absolutely felt like someone was ripping my heart out this time. The hardest thing to watch him walk away. He was only 2 1/2 hr away at college. Stay strong and rely on this amazing support group!
God Bless
My son is at bootcamp! Got the 20 second Im here you will get a box in a few days call last night about 11pm. I happy knowing he is there and safe1

I got my call about 11pm last night as well

My son shipped yesterday. I was so proud of myself for not crying but I did not want to add to his nervousness or fear. I just hugged him and told him how proud we were and it would be done fast. Then another mom there started screaming and crying about how she changed her mind about her son going. I was glad for that distraction. I also pointed her to this site for support, she did not even know about it. I got the 30 second scripted call at 9:30 my time which is close to midnight Chicago time. He was very short and brief, it probably was best to keep emotions out of it. So here we are starting day 1.
