I sill haven't heard from my son and he is supposed to graduate 4/24/15 from bootcamp. Do you know the typical time to when we will be getting the " I am a sailor" call?

I wasn't to sure on the details. I got so emotional when I first heard him say "I passed my PFA. I will not walk with my div but will be in uniform somewhere. Not his exact words. I was just so happy he made it!! He ask if I was coming...I responded with a Heck Yeah!! He gave me the password but I was driving and I thing I remember it. Not sure but I will check. I wanted to ask more details but he only had 30 seconds left on his call. Hate the scripted speeches and the 30 seconds after to try and figure everything out. I'm just so thankful & excited to see my son again. And so proud he accomplished his goal.
He will be in the balcony (so you may also want to sit in the balcony), but you won't be able to sit with him. He will be very tired, but he will be there and will have Liberty after. That is great! See Battle Stations-21 (BST).
Thank You so much for the link, it answered a lot of questions.
He did not call us last night. I am assuming he is gone to FIT. Don't know much about FIT. If anyone does, please let me know
Thank you so much for the link that was good info. I went ahead and emailed since his graduation is tomorrow
You are very welcome. I would say that he is still in FIT and will not be at PIR in the morning. I hope that he does pass and go on to become a US Navy Sailor. Perhaps you can see him at "A" School.
Just wanted to thank you again for the link. I Emailed the Public Affairs officer and he emailed me back with the information that he is at FIT for running only. He said that once he passes they will send him directly to A school and we can see him there. He was very informative like you were.
Much appreciated.
Kim
I'm glad I could help, but am sorry for the circumstances.
